The garden commands outstanding views over miles of open countryside across the White Peak area and beyond. The view is towards Bakewell and Chatsworth and on a clear day it is possible to see as far as Kinder in the Dark Peak (the highest point of the Peak District) and Mam Tor, which is just beyond Castleton.

A shorter view in the opposite direction to the south is equally inviting looking over the old village pump towards the parish church nestling amongst the trees.

You are welcome to use our patio areas as well as the garden which contains a revolving summer house to catch the best of the sun on cooler days. An abundance of wildlife can be seen in our garden and the surrounding fields. Apart from the many "everyday" species of birds, we have frequent visits from pheasants, jays, goldfinch, woodpeckers and sparrow hawks. You may occasionally be lucky to see several deer, sometimes with their young, grazing or just resting in the fields beyond our garden wall.
