Breakfast at Hawthorn Cottage
Good Morning
Breakfast is usually served at your own table in your private dining room, but on a warm summer morning you can choose to take breakfast outside on a sunny patio.
We hope you can start the morning with a good breakfast to help set you up for the rest of the day.
We offer a comprehensive menu of freshly prepared food and we take great pride in providing as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. Flour for our home made bread comes from Caudwell’s Mill in Rowsley, free range eggs (from our next door neighbour’s hens in laying season!), sausages from the award winning White Peak Butchery in Tissington. Our oatcakes come directly from Derbyshire Oatcakes in Calver, (the very last traditional oatcake maker in the Peak District). Black pudding is from another award winning butcher, Andrew Armstrong in Bakewell, whilst tomatoes are picked ripe from our own greenhouse in season. Finally we make all our own delicious lemon curd, jams and marmalade.
In addition to the wide range of food normally available, we can offer additional choices for vegetarians and guests with other dietary requirements.
Whilst many of our guests may choose a full hearty breakfast, there are lighter bite options for those of you with a smaller appetite.
Enjoy
